All of the work I do with clients falls under the umbrella of Holistic Personal and Leadership Development. I’m not a fan of titles – but they help create clarity - so here goes. Transformative: Learning Consultant, Designer & Facilitator; Coach & Mentor; Speaker; and Reiki Master (practitioner & teacher). I’m an authorized facilitator and distributor for: DiSC™ (behavioural styles) & The Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team™; and a certified EQ-i™ Coach (Emotional Intelligence).
Why am I so passionate about corporate training & development?
Just a few short years after joining the workforce, I became a manager. I had the desire to succeed and was promoted for my leadership attributes. For the first 3 years I learned what to do and not to do through the school of trial and error (mostly at the expense of the people I was leading).
Fortunately, my company invested in high-quality management/leadership training. I distinctly remember sitting in my first class thinking “if you can actually learn how to do this stuff, why are we all learning how to do it – the hard way (through trial and error).”
There was no turning back. I vowed that everything I learned in my life/career that made a difference for me, I would teach to others – preferably before they built bad habits. Shortly thereafter, I was selected to become a Master Facilitator and had the privilege of training leaders at all levels, across the organization. That was the start of my 30+ year career leading, facilitating & supporting the learning & development of thousands of leaders and team members. I’ve experienced what works and what doesn’t from all points of view: as a leader/manager, as a team member and as a consultant, trainer and coach.
The truth is : there are simple solutions to the seemingly complex workplace problems we’ve all experienced. Change, success and growth happens from the inside – out. It requires continuous learning and development of people at all organizational levels – and I can help.
